Ask Flo: Answers Grounded in Your Baby’s Own Logs
It’s 3 a.m. — you have a question, not time to scroll forums.
Ask Flo can use your baby's recorded routines as context for summaries and educational questions. Ask what you logged today or what changed between recorded nights. It cannot determine why a baby wakes, whether feeding is adequate or whether a symptom is normal. Five questions are free each month; unlimited Ask Flo is Premium.
What you can ask
- “Summarize the sleep entries I recorded last night.”
- “List today's recorded bottle amounts.”
- “What changed between my recorded sleep totals this week and last week?”
- “What does the term wake window mean?”
- “Help me organize questions to discuss with our pediatrician.”
How it works
- Step 1Type an everyday question in plain words.
- Step 2Ask Flo can use your baby's logs for context; check the baby and date range.
- Step 3You receive a generated summary or educational reply. Missing records can affect it.
- Step 4Compare the reply with your original records; seek professional advice for health concerns.
Ask Flo vs a generic chatbot or a forum
| Ask Flo | Generic AI chat | Forums | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Context | Can use connected ParentFlow logs | Can use information you provide or enable | Uses details you choose to share |
| Answer style | Generated summaries and educational replies; may be wrong | Generated replies; quality and sources vary | Community experiences; not a clinical assessment |
| Access | In the app or web app, subject to allowance and availability | Depends on service and plan | Replies depend on the community |
| Cost | Five questions free per month; unlimited on Premium | Varies by service and plan | Often free; terms vary |
Why it’s different
Ask Flo's practical benefit is access to records you already keep in ParentFlow. Other services can also use context you provide, and other baby apps offer contextual chat. No chat can examine your child or establish a medical cause from logs. Check generated summaries against your entries and review our privacy policy.

Quick answers
- Is there an AI baby app that can use my baby's logs?
- Yes. Ask Flo can use your ParentFlow logs as context for recorded-routine summaries and educational questions. It only has the information available to it, can make mistakes and cannot examine your baby or determine whether feeding is adequate.
- Is Ask Flo free?
- Ask Flo includes five free questions per month. Unlimited Ask Flo messages are part of Premium. Notes and To-Dos are separate features that require Plus or Premium and are not available on Free.
- Is my baby's data private?
- Ask Flo is not a public forum. Review the ParentFlow privacy policy for how logs and chat information are processed, shared, retained and deleted before using the feature. This page does not claim a security audit or end-to-end encryption.
- Can it replace my pediatrician?
- No. Ask Flo provides generated summaries and general educational information, not a diagnosis or clinical assessment. For medical concerns, contact your pediatrician; in an emergency, call your local emergency number. Do not delay care because of an AI reply.
- How is it different from a generic AI chat?
- Ask Flo can use connected ParentFlow logs without requiring you to re-enter them. A general AI chat can also use information you provide or enable. Neither access to context nor a fluent answer guarantees accuracy; review the service's privacy settings and check important outputs.
