Best Free Baby Tracker: A Practical Free-Plan Checklist

Start with the job, not the longest feature list

Choose the activity you most often forget: the last bottle, the start of a nap, or the last diaper change. Record a real event, find it again, and correct a mistake. A free plan that handles those tasks clearly may be enough. You do not need to buy predictions or planning tools to keep a basic log.

Five checks before you commit

1. Record and correct: save a feeding, sleep or diaper event that actually happened. Reopen it and verify its time and units. Correct an entry only when the real record needs correction; do not add invented feeds to a baby's history.
2. Find the last event: close and reopen the app. Can you locate the last feeding without starting another timer or guessing what a chart means?
3. Check the caregiver limit: count everyone who will need an account. One free invitation is not the same as an unlimited care team.
4. Separate logging from prediction: check whether a nap reminder follows a schedule you entered or predicts a next nap, and which plan each feature needs.
5. Check the exit: review account deletion, privacy and any export requirement before accumulating records. Do not assume a downloaded file can be imported into another app.

What ParentFlow includes, and what it does not

Free includes everyday feeding, sleep, diaper, pumping, growth and milestone tracking, the daily summary, trends, reminders and one invited caregiver. Ask Flo includes five free questions per month. Notes and To-Dos require Plus or Premium and are not included on Free. Sleep Planner, Food Planner, other planning tools, unlimited Ask Flo, Family Chat and additional caregivers require Premium. ParentFlow is available on iOS, Android and Web, with different feature availability. Everyday tracking is available on Web; Sleep Planner and Cry Translator are native-app features. Siri and Live Activities depend on Apple devices and supported app versions; do not expect the same controls on Android or in a browser.

When another option may fit better

If avoiding subscriptions altogether is the priority, compare Nara Baby's free, ad-free model. If you specifically want Huckleberry's SweetSpot predictions, compare its paid plans. Neither makes the free logging task less valid. Start with the need you have today and upgrade only for a feature you can identify and use.

What this checklist cannot tell you

We publish ParentFlow, so this is not an independent product award. We have not timed signed-in trials of every app. A log or AI answer cannot diagnose illness, establish that intake is adequate, or make a sleep plan medically appropriate. Contact your clinician about health concerns rather than treating a chart or generated answer as reassurance.
